Impact of Static Load Modeling on Industrial Load Nodal Prices

G.R. Yousefi, M.M. Pedram, "Impact of Static Load Modeling on Industrial Load Nodal Prices", 10th International Conference on APPLIED MATHEMATICS, Dallas Texas, USA, November 1-3, 2006, pp. 365-370.

This paper is concerned with the nodal prices in a competitive electricity market based on the pool parading when the industrial loads are statistically modeled. Specifically it addresses the impact of static load modeling on the active and reactive marginal costs, while loads are varying. Based on nodal pricing theory of marginal costs, an approach is proposed in this paper, in which the impacts of static load modeling on marginal costs of both active and reactive power of industrial loads are calculated. The proposed algorithm is evaluated on IEEE 14-bus test system.
